Most brass fitting have a temperature range of 65 deg below to 250 deg F and can be used on copper, brass, aluminum, plastic tubing and welded steel (except compression is NOT recommended for steel tubing). Working pressures vary by type and size of tubing used and style of fittings in general, however, based on 0.032 wall copper tubing, the pressures may range as follows flare connections from 1/8 to 3/4 in OD have a working pressure from 600 to 3000 psi depending on size. Compression connections have a working pressure from 100 to 400 psi depending on size. Pipe fittings have a working pressure up to 1200 psi. Plastic tubing generally has a maximum working pressure up to 150 psi.
